John Newlin

Vice Chair, Unity College Board of Trustees

John is the CEO and founder of Scatter Good Farm and the Green Futures Institute, and is Senior Advisor at Re-Fridge/Affordable Campus Essentials LLC. He has worked as a high school teacher, K-12 curriculum coordinator, meeting facilitator, grant writer, workshop leader, adjunct college instructor, school change coach, senior project director [at the Great Schools Partnership], and non-profit executive director [at the Maine International Center for Digital Learning]. In 2013, John left the work he had been doing as an educator for 30 years to devote his “retirement” to the climate change issue. He is currently a partner in the development of multiple climate-friendly startups. John received his Master’s in Science Teaching in Environmental Studies from Antioch University New England in 1983. For more information, please see:
