Board of TrusteesUnity College
As an independent not-for-profit educational institution, Unity College relies on its board of trustees for functions ranging from hiring the chief executive officer to determining the strategic vision of the College and being fiduciary stewards of the institution.
Unity College is fortunate to have a board of trustees made up of highly skilled professionals, thought leaders, and relationship managers, and key donors who have demonstrated a commitment to higher education, sustainability, student success, and to Unity College itself. As with all independent educational institutions, members of the Unity College Board of Trustees volunteer because they believe in the mission of the college, and are active in the Association of Governing Boards of Universities and Colleges.
The Association of Governing Boards of Universities and Colleges outlines the singular nature of a board of trustee member.
To be invited to serve on a board of trustees is one of the highest honors a college or university can bestow upon an individual. Such an invitation indicates that the individual has made a significant contribution to his or her community, has made noteworthy achievements in the service of society, and is capable of making equally important contributions to the institution and to higher education. In a nation of 260 million people, on 50,000 citizens currently serve on academic governing boards.

Of those 50,000 board members serving nationally, 21 currently serve as members of the board of America’s Environmental College.
Unity College is honored by the service of our exemplary board of trustees.
